What sets Katsuyaki apart from other Japanese eateries is its signature style of cooking. The star of the show is, of course, the katsu. At Katsuyaki, the focus is on perfectly fried, crispy cuts of meat-whether it’s chicken, pork, or beef. Each piece is breaded to perfection and served with a delicious array of sides, including crisp slaw, rice, and a rich, flavorful sauce. The combination of flavors and textures makes each bite a memorable experience.

One of the best things about this place is how they bring traditional Japanese flavors and techniques into their offerings. The restaurant doesn’t just stop at the classics like tonkatsu; they offer unique dishes that showcase the versatility of katsu-style cooking. For example, the katsudon-a hearty rice bowl topped with a crispy cutlet, egg, and onions-is a must-try if you're craving something filling and comforting. They also offer inventive twists like katsu sandwiches, making for an easy-to-eat and satisfying lunch option.

The menu at Katsuyaki is varied, so whether you’re in the mood for a light snack or a hearty meal, there's something for everyone. One of the standouts is the katsu curry, where a crispy breaded cutlet is paired with a savory, slightly spicy curry sauce. It’s the kind of dish that will leave you wanting more. Their seasonal specials also bring something new to the table, allowing regulars to experience fresh, exciting flavors with each visit.

Aside from the stellar food, the service at Katsuyaki is another reason why it’s so beloved by locals. The staff is attentive, and their passion for Japanese cuisine shines through in their recommendations. Whether you're unsure of what to order or looking for a new dish to try, the staff is always happy to guide you through the options and ensure you have an exceptional dining experience.

This place is really amazing. Everything is fresh and super tasty. The Katsu patty for the chicken burger is much thicker than the patty for the katsu with rice, which makes sense. The regular Katsu cutlet is absolutely perfect thickness and crispiness, and I personally prefer that over the chicken burger katsu. Everything was really perfect. You can get all of your sauces on the side as well, to avoid overwhelming your taste buds, and they will give you free side of curry if you ask!!! Who does that?!! Yes, a free side of curry with any of their rice based dishes. Amazing! I gave some extra tip because I felt so grateful for their generosity. For their rice dishes, they also give free watermelon pieces, which is super refreshing. I'm looking forward to trying their Bibimbap next.

Had a wedding tasting here with Greenfish. Food is amazing. Chef Eric was so kind and likable. Service is top notch. We are blown away with the quality of sushi and japchae and salads, and short ribs, etc.

This place reminds me of the local mom and pop Japanese restaurants in Hawaii. There's a distinctive taste and quality that's uniquely west coast. I ordered the teriyaki bento today and it's full of delicious flavors and textures. A hidden gem in the neighborhood!

Found this place on Google maps while looking for a new lunch spot. Their website let's you order ahead for pickup, which was very convenient. When ordering online you can also omit ingredients (onions, pickles, etc) which is great for those that need the option. I ordered a chicken katsu burger and a side of garlic fries to go and it was pretty good. The burger required assembly and the chicken katsu was a very good size, sticking out the sides when placed in the burger. The fries were a little soggy from sitting in the plastic bag for too long but that's my fault for picking up my order later than their estimated pickup time, so if you plan to order ahead for pickup be sure to get there in time! Lastly, there's a small parking lot in front of the business and it wasn't full when I was there at around noon. Overall a good meal and I'll be returning to try the other items. Reasonable prices as well.

First off the food is great. I ordered the spicy katsu burger combo and it did not disappoint. Wasabi slaw is not something I've had before but it is definitely a must try. Combine that with the chili sauce and slice of cheese on top of some chicken katsu and you have a winner. The fries that came with the meal were also crisp, hot, and fresh. I do wish the slice of cheese melted more however. A small detail. I do feel that this place is more of a lunch spot. The inside is extremely spacious albeit lifeless at the time I went (5:30pm). I might just order takeout the next time I come here.

This restaurant looks small from outside, but it's quite spacious and neat When you go inside. I had a chicken katsu plate, and it was great. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Fries was very good, too.

Online ordering seems to be lagging. They received my order 10 mins after I ordered FYI. Teriyaki bowl was good and the people are nice
